Vero Beach
Michael Luton received his MBA degree from West Virginia University and has been in healthcare management since 1978. He has over thirty years experience in health care management. He has held management positions in West Virginia, Kentucky, and Ohio. He is now at Primary Care of the Treasure Coast where his wife and he relocated to the Vero Beach area in 2004, fulfilling a lifelong dream of living the Florida lifestyle.
Mark is a Physician Assistant at our family medical practice.
Debora is a Physician Assistant with experience in Internal Medicine, Dermatology, and Surgery. Also, she has experience in working with the geriatric population.
Dr. Samuel Watkins is a residency-trained Family Physician. He sees patients at the Vero Beach office and Cleveland Clinic Indian River Hospital. Dr. Watkins has practiced medicine in Vero Beach since 1980.
Dr. Guy Ulrich is board certified in Internal Medicine. He sees patients at the Vero Beach office and at the PCTC Reflections Aesthetic center. Dr. Ulrich has practiced medicine in Vero Beach since 1980, following a year as Chief Medical Resident at the University of South Alabama. He has served Indian River Medical Center as Medical director of Cardiopulmonary Services from 1980 -1989, establishing the modern era of physiologically monitoring mechanical ventilation staffed by Registered and Certified Respiratory Therapists. The first coronary catheterization center at IRMC was also established under his directorship.
Dr. Arthur Splendoria is board certified in Family Medicine. He sees patients at the Vero Beach office, at Indian River Estates, and at Cleveland Clinic Indian River Hospital. Dr. Splendoria has practiced in Vero Beach since 1985 and was honored as the 2013 Treasure Coast Health Care Champion (Physician Excellence).
Dr. Gary Silverman is board certified in Family Medicine and in Geriatrics. He has practiced in Vero Beach since 1982, and has been Medical Director of multiple long term care facilities in Vero Beach. He teaches Geriatrics to 4th year medical students at the Florida State University College of Medicine (Ft. Pierce campus). Dr. Silverman sees patients at the Vero Beach office, and Indian River Estates.
Joshua B. Shipley, MD PhD is Board Certified in Internal Medicine. He sees patients at the Vero Beach office, at Cleveland Clinic Indian River Hospital, in the PCTC Reflections Aesthetic Center, and is Medical Director at Consulate Health Care (Sub-Acute Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Facility). Dr. Shipley also does work as a treating physician for addiction problems, and is a Certified Medical Review Officer.
In addition to general internal medicine, Dr Shipley provides routine gynecologic care, performs office based surgery for skin lesions, and has a special interest in cardiovascular medicine. Dr. Shipley also sees adolescent patients.
Dr. Dennis F. Saver is a board certified Family Physician and Geriatrician. He sees patients from ages 0 to 101 in the Vero Beach office, at Cleveland Clinic Indian River Hospital, and at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of the Treasure Coast. Dr. Saver was the founding President of Primary Care of the Treasure Coast in 1994. In addition to this clinical practice, he has volunteered in the Indian River County Medical Society “WE CARE” Indigent Care program since 1991, and chaired the IRCMS Public Health and We Care Committee since its beginning.
Dr. Penly is a second generation Family Physician. He joined PCTC in 2008, after having practiced in Sebastian, Florida and in Texas. Dr. Penly sees patients in the Vero Beach office and at Cleveland Clinic Indian River Hospital. He has previously been a Medical Director for Hospice, and works actively with the Special Equestrian program at ARC. Dr. Penly is a member of the AAFP, the Florida AFP, the Florida Medical Association, and the Texas Medical Association.
Christina F. Namvar, DO, is a graduate of the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences. She joined Primary Care of the Treasure Coast in 2012, and sees patients at the PCTC Sebastian office several days each week.
Dr. Fredrick (Rick) Baker is a Board Certified Family Physician. Dr. Rick Baker has been awarded the Degree of Fellow from the American Academy of Family Physicians and is a Vero Beach native. He joined Primary Care of the Treasure Coast in 2001. He sees patients at the Vero Beach office and at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of the Treasure Coast. He is married to Nancy Baker, MD and has two children.
Dr. Nancy Baker is a Board Certified Family Physician. She sees patients at the PCTC office in Sebastian, Florida and at the “We Care” Clinic at the Indian River County Health Department in Vero Beach. She also is the Clerkship Director for Family Medicine for the Fort Pierce Regional Campus of the Florida State University College of Medicine, teaching third and fourth year medical students. She is married to Dr. Rick Baker, whom she met while in medical school at the University of Miami.
Erol R. Atamer, MD is Board Certified in Internal Medicine. He has practiced in Indian River County since 1985, and sees patients in the Vero office and at both Cleveland Clinic Indian River Hospital and at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of the Treasure Coast. Dr. Atamer is a past Chair of the Department of Medicine at Cleveland Clinic Indian River Hospital.
